A day shy of their first birthday, Zillow received quite the present from FORTUNE Magazine: the
cover of the February 19th issue and an accompanying article entitled, "What's your house really worth?" Before the issue hits newsstands, you can read about
"How Zillow is turning online voyeurism into a real estate
revolution"
online at CNNMoney.com.
Jeffrey M. O'Brien begins by chronicling the typical experience of a first-time Zillow user- one that begins innocently enough by checking the Zestimate for your home, but soon spirals into an addictive cycle of comparing the Zestimates of your neighbors' houses, then your friends' houses, and your cousins' houses... until your spouse "calls out from the bedroom, wanting to know what the hell you've been doing for the past two hours," catching you "red-handed in a loop of real estate yuppie porn."
The article then goes on to discuss many of Zillow's features like "Make Me Move," as well as the changing real estate industry. Congratulations to Zillow, not bad for the first birthday! (Though I'm not sure it can compare to HotPads' 1st birthday celebration...)

Colleen-
Thanks for the kind words! We thought it was a pretty kind birthday present to be featured in Fortune.
