Salt Lake Tribune Map Mashup Tracks Quake Tremors
In the wake of the recent earthquake in Nevada that shook the mountain states, the Salt Lake Tribune posted a Yahoo Maps/Mapbuilder mashup that allows readers to tag where they felt the quake tremors. You can check it out for yourself here.
This was a doozy, registering a 6.0 on the Richter scale. We hope that everyone affected is able to quickly pick up the pieces.
Luckily, major damage did not extend all the way to Salt Lake City, so you can still look for great Salt Lake City real estate on the interactive maps from HotPads.com.

I don't know if I want to live in earthquake territory. Makes me nervous you don't really know when there coming like a storm and can just destroy a homes foundation and structure right! I guess every region has it's natural disaster element from quakes to hurricanes to tornados. Do you have to carry special homeowners insurance in quake zones?
