Most housing searches typically start on Google. Home shoppers want to get a quick snapshot of the best tools to make their house hunting easier. This week, Google rolled out "+1", a new way to let your friends know which sites have earned your stamp of approval. As TechCrunch describes it, "when your Google connections search for content or a site, they will see your +1’s in their search results."
We think this is a great way to make the search faster and to get directly to the sites your friends have already tried and think are useful. That's why we decided to be one of the first real estate websites to add "+1" to our homepage. If you think HotPads is a good place to start the housing search, please take a second and send a +1 our way. Your friends will appreciate it!
Hotpads is really a great site. Having said that I can only propose with sincerity that you create a second site, same content, under ANOTHER NAME. After almost one year of looking at hotpads now and then, neither me or my friends can ever remember the name of the website! If we didn't have email notices, we wouldn't have been able to return to the site. For some reason, the name is simply a blindspot and doesn't stick.

Great post and a great way to make your self known. I guess with "+1", the name won't such a blinspot as the previous commenter suggested.

Greetings from Idaho! I’m bored at work so I decided to check out your site on my iphone during lunch break. I enjoy the info you provide here and can’t wait to take a look when I get home. I’m surprised at how fast your blog loaded on my cell phone .. I’m not even using WIFI, just 3G .. Anyways, great site!
